India’s AI Summit 2026 in Delhi that concluded on Friday (February 20, 2026) will have an outcome document, to be called ‘Delhi Declaration’ and an unprecedented 75 nations would sign the non-binding pledge on meeting AI development goals, it is learned.

The big takeaway from the India-hosted event was revealed by India’s Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw at a press conference held on Friday (February 20).

Meanwhile, the Indian government announced a slew of New Delhi Frontier AI Commitments after the successful conclusion of the AI Summit.

Vaishnaw described the commitments as “a significant outcome’ of the India-hosted AI Impact Summit 2026, and announced that a shared voluntary framework adopted by leading global and Indian AI companies.

“Today, leading frontier AI companies along with our own AI companies have come together to make a set of voluntary commitments, a shared commitment for inclusive and shared AI,” Vaishnav had said on Thursday (February 19).

India played host to the mammoth Artificial Intelligence event that concluded this week at Bharat Mandapam, a huge convention centre administered by the Indian government, in New Delhi.

The event brought under one roof several heads of States, senior government officials, and technology company executives, to highlight the growing global importance of the AI technologies.
