The US Chief of Chemical Nuclear Safety, Andrew Hugg, was recently charged with leaking sensitive information on the Iran war and was escorted out of the Department of Defence headquarters at the Pentagon.

A video, purportedly showing Hugg leaking the information, was first aired by O’Keefe Media Group, alleging that he had shared the sensitive information, including claims of children being killed in Iran, calling it “collateral damage”.

Hugg also allegedly showed how the US could assassinate Iran’s next leader if he “doesn’t change.” In the video, the US nuclear chief was heard saying the US had no plans to use nuclear weapons.

The media group, which released the video, claimed Hugg revealed critical national security details during a conversation with an undercover journalist at a restaurant and that their interaction was captured in a hidden camera.

It posted the video on X with the caption: “Top US Nuclear Chief Caught LEAKING Sensitive National Security Information to Stranger, Reveals Army Chemist was Exposed to US Chemical Nerve Agent, Confirms US Strike Killed Children in Iran, Discloses US Plans to ‘Kill Iran’s New Supreme Leader.”

The post added: “Andrew Hugg, a US Chief of Chemical Nuclear Surety, was caught on hidden camera casually revealing sensitive information to a stranger in a public restaurant. He claims the US still possesses nerve agents and says a US Army chemist recently died from exposure.”

The Pentagon put Hugg on administrative leave after ordering an investigation into the O’Keefe Media Group’s video. However, the post could not be independently verified.

Hugg’s LinkedIn profile, which indicated he worked with the US Department of the Army, might have been deleted. His major areas of expertise are nuclear operations, as per the profile.
