As PM Modi Vows Justice For Delhi Blast, US, UK, France Among Nations To Issue Travel Advisory

In view of the deadly blast, US, UK, Canada, France have issued travel advisories for any sort of travel to the country. Moreover, condolences have poured in from ambassadors of several countries after the blast near Delhi’s Red Fort.

As New Delhi remains on high alert in the aftermath of the 10/11 car blast, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday (November 11, 2025) said that the “conspirators” behind the car blast near Red Fort that killed around a dozen people and injured several others “will not be spared” and that “all those responsible will be brought to justice.”

Modi’s remarks came during his two-day visit to Bhutan, even as Delhi and other parts of the country remain on heightened alert following the explosion in a moving Hyundai i20 on Monday evening. The Prime Minister underlined that he was continuously monitoring the situation.

Hours after Jammu and Kashmir Police recovered nearly 3,000 kg of explosives from two residential buildings in Haryana’s Faridabad, national capital Delhi was rocked by a massive car blast near the Red Fort Metro Station. The bomb blast took place in a Hyundai i20 car at 6:52 pm, leaving bodies and damaged cars scattered in the busy area.

Delhi bomb blast: A terrorist attack?

While investigation is still on and there is no confirmation or denial on whether the car blast near Red Fort was a terrorist attack, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said the top agencies in the country are investigating the incident with full intensity, and that they will go in-depth into the incident.

With this, he underlined that the nature of the blast is not known yet and investigators are probing all angles and no possibility is ruled out.

Advisories against Delhi travel

In view of the deadly blast, US, UK, France have issued travel advisories for any sort of travel to the country.

The US Embassy in India updated its contact page with phone numbers of the consuls general across India. It advised its citizens to avoid travelling in areas surrounding the Red Fort and Chandni Chowk, steer clear of crowded places.

French embassy has also issued an advisory for its citizen in the national capital region. French nationals have been advised to “exercise the utmost vigilance and caution, to stay away from the area and away from any gatherings.”

Likewise, FCDO has directed against all travel within 10 km of the India-Pakistan border. The Wagah-Attari border crossing is closed. FCDO advises against all travel to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir (including Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonamarg, the city of Srinagar and the Jammu-Srinagar national highway).

Delhi Red Fort blast: Foreign Ambassadors express grief

Condolences have poured in from ambassadors of several countries after the blast near Delhi’s Red Fort. British High Commissioner to India, Lindy Cameron, said her thoughts are with all those affected by the explosion and shared an updated travel advisory. Japanese Ambassador Ono Keiichi too expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives.

Argentine Ambassador Mariano Caucino conveyed Argentina’s condolences, extending thoughts and prayers to the families of the deceased and wishing a swift recovery to those injured. Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Riaz Hamidullah said that the country stands with India in this hour.

The Embassy of Iran also conveyed its sympathy, expressing deep sorrow over the loss of lives and injuries, and extending condolences to the Government and people of India. Australia’s High Commissioner, Philip Green, also expressed deep sorrow, sending thoughts to the families and wishing a quick recovery to the injured.
