Several American fighter jets were hit in friendly fire over Kuwait skies on Monday (March 2, 2026) in the ongoing West Asian military conflict after US-Israel air strikes killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Saturday (February 28, 2026).

However, all the pilots of the downed combat aircraft ejected to safety on time and survived the crash, according to the Kuwait Defence Ministry.

The Kuwait Defence Ministry statement said search and rescue teams were sent to the crash sites immediately to evacuate the military aircraft crew and to send them to hospitals for treatment. The pilots’ condition was stable, as per the last reports received.

The Kuwai Defence Ministry spokesperson said several US military aircraft crashed, confirming the complete safety of their crews.

He said the relevant authorities immediately initiated search and rescue procedures to evacuate the crews and transport them to hospitals for treatment.

“The aircraft crew was checked for their health status and provided the necessary medical care. Their condition is stable,” the statement said.

The Kuwait Defence Ministry spokesperson said his ministry directly coordinated with the friendly US forces regarding the circumstances of the incident and took joint technical measures.

He confirmed that the authorities were following up on the investigations to determine the causes of the incident, calling for information to be obtained from its official sources.

Meanwhile, the Iranian State Media released a picture on Telegram allegedly of the American F-15 fighter pilot whose plane was downed in Kuwait.

A US Air Force F-15 Strike Eagle fighter jet crashed in Kuwait during a recent incident that has raised concerns amid rising tensions in the Gulf region.

Iran also shared visuals of its massive drone fleet, along with Iranian strikes on US-Israeli targets in the region.

In a post on Telegram, Press TV said, “American pilot after his fighter jet crashed in Kuwait.”

The conflict between the US-Israel and the Iranian regime intensified on Monday (March 2), after a relative lull overnight.
