Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, visited the Peterson Space Force Base on Thursday (April 09, 2026), as part of his official visit to the United States.

According to a post shared by Indian Air Force (IAF), Chief of Air Staff interacted with General Gregory M. Guillot, Commander of the United States Northern Command (US-NORTHCOM) and the North American Aerospace Defence Command (NORAD).

“The visit facilitated a productive exchange of perspectives on complex operational modalities, reflecting the strength of the growing India–United States partnership,” the IAF said.

U.S. Ambassador to India Sergio Gor welcomed AP Singh on his arrival, voicing hope for deeper bilateral engagement in both countries.

“We welcome Air Chief Marshal AP Singh to the U.S. and look forward to increased cooperation with India,” the Ambassador said in a post on X, highlighting the strengthening defence partnership between the two nations.

Upon his arrival in the United States, Chief of Air Staff AP Singh was received by India’s Ambassador to the U.S., Vinay Mohan Kwatra, marking the commencement of his official visit aimed at further enhancing the India–US defence partnership, ANI reported.

The Chief’s visit follows the recent trip by Samuel J. Paparo, Commander of the United States Indo-Pacific Command, to India in February. the meeting focused on advancing India-US shared security interest and reinforcing close military ties.

According to a report by ANI, Admiral’s meetings in New Delhi, Chand mandir, and Bengaluru highlighted India’s key role in advancing regional security and strengthening military interoperability across land, sea, air, space, and cyberspace domains.

During his stay in New Delhi, Admiral Paparo met senior Indian defence officials, including Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan and Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh Kumar Tripathi, to discuss safeguarding a free and open Indo-Pacific region.

These meetings were highlighted in Chandimandir, where Admiral Paparo visited India’s Western Command alongside U.S. Ambassador Sergio Gor to deliberate on operational security dynamics along India’s western and northern fronts.

In February 2026, India and the United States deepened defence cooperation through visits to the Aeronautical Development Agency and the National Flight Test Centre, highlighting growing collaboration in aerospace and advanced military technologies.
