While India very well handled and gave a befitting response to Pakistan after the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, it could face a deadlier Operation Sindoor 2.0 if it tries any terror misadventures in the future. India will not tolerate cross-border terrorism and will strike back with greater intensity.

Issuing a stern warning to Pakistan, Western Army Commander Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar declared that any repeat of Pahalgam-style attacks would invite an even more lethal response under Operation Sindoor 2.0. India has launched Op Sindoor in May, following the Pahalgam attack, in which terrorists killed 26 innocent civilians.

India struck several terror bases in Pakistan and PoK, and struck down many Pakistan aircraft, including the F-16s.

Operation Sindoor 2.0: A deadlier fate awaits Pakistan?

Lt Gen Katiyar said Pakistan is fully aware it cannot match India in conventional warfare. Lacking the capability for a direct military confrontation, it continues its decades-old doctrine of “bleed India through a thousand cuts.” He underlined that while Pakistan may persist with terror-based provocations, India has both the will and readiness to neutralize any threat.

“It does not have the capacity to fight a war with us. They do not want to fight a war. It commits mischiefs as per its policy of ‘bleed India through a thousand cuts’,” he added.

How will Operation Sindoor 2.0 be different?

Responding to media queries, Lt Gen Katiyar asserted that the next response would be far more punishing than before. “The action we will take this time will be deadlier than the past. It will be more powerful. Operation Sindoor 2.0 has to be deadlier, there is no doubt about it,” he stated.

We destroyed its posts and air bases, but it may again attempt something like the Pahalgam attack. We have to remain prepared. We are fully prepared. I am confident the action this time will be deadlier than in the past, Lt General underscored.

Is India prepared for another Pahalgam-style attack?

The Army Commander warned that Pakistan may once again attempt terror strikes similar to the one in Pahalgam. He said such hostile intent will persist until Pakistan abandons its proxy-war mindset. “We have to remain prepared. We are fully prepared. I am confident the action this time will be deadlier than in the past,” he affirmed.

With this, Lt Gen Katiyar recalled that during May’s Operation Sindoor, India inflicted heavy damage on Pakistan’s posts and air bases. He praised the Army’s decisive action and the nationwide backing it received, from the public, veterans, civil administration and security agencies.

He also credited the armed forces with crushing Pakistan’s attempt at a nefarious strike in Pahalgam, stating that the response was swift and strong.

How is the political leadership echoing Army’s resolve?

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who was present at the rally, reinforced the message that India will retaliate with full force. Recalling the 26 Infantry Division’s role during Operation Sindoor and the Army’s contributions during natural disasters, he said, “Op Sindoor sent a message to the world that we will avenge every drop of an Indian citizen’s blood. No one can dare raise their eyes towards our country.”

Marking 60 years since the 1965 Indo-Pak War, the Indian Army’s Tiger Division organised a series of commemorative events in Jammu. A massive ex-servicemen rally at Satwari Ground brought together over 3,000 veterans, ‘Veer Naris’ and ‘Veer Matas’, underscoring the enduring commitment to national security.
